The project AlgaeTex has received a positive grant notice and startetd its work. Led by adidas and Institut für Textiltechnik der RWTH Aachen University the project focuses on algae based fibres and textiles.
AlgaeTex focuses on the cultivation and extraction of algae as raw materials source, from which polymers are developed, turned into synthetic filaments to manufacture sustainable textile products.
