Die Modeindustrie hat die M\u00f6glichkeit, in diesem Prozess eine Vorreiterrolle zu spielen.<br \/>\nNeben der \u00f6kologischen Verantwortung ist f\u00fcr moderne Modemarken auch die soziale Verantwortung wichtig. Traditionell werden G\u00e4nsedaunen f\u00fcr die Isolierung von Outdoor-Kleidung verwendet. Aus sozialer Sicht ist die Gewinnung von Daunenfedern mit erheblicher Tierqu\u00e4lerei verbunden, da die Federn von lebenden Tieren geerntet werden. Laut einer Analyse der European Outdoor Group aus dem Jahr 2014 werden in der Outdoor-Industrie j\u00e4hrlich etwa 1058 Tonnen Daunen verwendet. Pro Gans wird ein Ertrag von etwa 1050 g pro Jahr erzielt, was schlussendlich etwa 1 Million G\u00e4nsen entspricht. Die Einf\u00fchrung innovativer biobasierter Materialien in der Outdoor-Industrie wird zu einer massiven Verringerung der Tierqu\u00e4lerei f\u00fchren. Zu diesem Zweck werden verschiedene Zelluloseproben superkritisch getrocknet, um Aerogelvliese herzustellen. Im zweiten Schritt werden die Proben mit verschiedenen Zusatzstoffen behandelt, um z. B. das Bakterienwachstum zu reduzieren oder hydrophobe Eigenschaften zu erhalten. Die vier Schritte sind superkritische Trocknung, Endbearbeitung, Montage und Pr\u00fcfung sowie Integration. Das Projekt beginnt mit der Optimierung des Aerogel-Vliestrocknungsprozesses am ITA. Im zweiten Schritt wird der Aerogel-Vliesstoff nachbehandelt. Die fertigen Aerogel-Vliese werden dann zu Pr\u00fcfk\u00f6rpern zusammengesetzt und bei Adidas getestet. Der vierte Schritt ist die Integration von Aerogel-Vliesstoffen in verschiedene Kleidungsst\u00fccke f\u00fcr kaltes Wetter. Alle vier Entwicklungsschritte werden durch kontinuierliche begleitende Bewertungen des TransitionLab unterst\u00fctzt. Es werden die Materialakzeptanz, die gew\u00fcnschten Eigenschaften und die sp\u00e4tere Produktakzeptanz untersucht. F\u00fcr das Projekt LIGHT LINING sind mindestens 3 Iterationsschritte vorgesehen. Um den notwendigen Informationsfluss f\u00fcr eine stetige Verbesserung und Anpassung der Materialien zu gew\u00e4hrleisten, wird ein agiler Projektmanagementansatz gew\u00e4hlt. Jeder Iterationsschritt bringt neue Anforderungen an die Materialien zutage, die dann direkt zur Verbesserung des Produkts eingesetzt werden k\u00f6nnen.
