Welcoming new BIOTEXFUTURE projects!
We are delighted to announce that five new BIOTEXFUTURE projects have received a positive grand notice and started its work at the beginning of this year. Like the other projects in the Innovation Space, they focus on sustainable alternatives for the textile industry and therefore will have a positive impact on our common vision:
BioCushion: An application-specific guideline for the development of circular spacer fabrics
BioTexCirc: Chemical recycling of bio-based polyamides
BioVlies: Bio-based and biodegradable nonwovens for agricultural applications
FunColor: Fungal-based production of melanin as a biological substitute for chemically-synthesized “grey-brown-black” dyes
SmartBioFinish: Development of a textile finishing technology based on anchor peptides for water- and oil-repellent properties
